"//": "The admin's reveal date for candidate profiles (owner decision 2026-08-16): profiles are collected continuously but appear on the Candidates page ALL AT ONCE at 14:00 UTC on this day (owner decision 2026-09-04: an instant, not a day, so it is still this calendar day from California to Shanghai; the one definition is assets/oa-reveal.js, which the build, the pages and the mailers all read). Until that instant the build writes no profile into candidates.json, held back means not written into a world-readable file, never written-and-hidden. Empty or malformed = not announced yet, hold everything. Edit the date and the next build applies it: the Cloud Function revealCandidates rings the build at 14:00 UTC on the day, and the build's own schedule is the safety net.",
